Getting involved is easy! It starts by getting informed and making better choices for the environment. This website is a great place to start. Here you will find great examples of what others are doing, links to resources and other related information. In fact, check back here often to find new ideas and updates on what the City of Charlotte is doing to make the community better for you!
In the meantime, here are a few things you can do today to get started:
• Commit to biking to work at least once a week
• Take a HOME ENERGY AUDIT
• Add extra insulation and seal around windows and doors
• Take a home WATER USAGE AUDIT
• MAKE A PLEDGE to Conserve
• Use recycling receptacles in your home and in public
• Get Caught Green Handed Program
• Replace old lighting with new, energy efficient fixtures and bulbs
• Install solar panels or invest in geo-thermal heating and cooling
• Invest in an Electric Vehicle, and take advantage of free use of the 25 charging stations being installed throughout the city
